Clarity Expands Battery Trading Division With a New Recruit

Our battery trading division is growing rapidly and this month we have welcomed a new battery trader, Ian Roberts.

Expanding our battery team means we can increase the support we give to our suppliers and ensures we can move forward at pace with our new service, launched last month, buying scrap catalytic converters.

Ian Roberts has a wealth of sales experience. He worked for over 20 years as a Technical Sales Manager for PolyOne, a USA Corporation that manufactures Plastisol screen printing inks for textiles. He then went on to work for Domestic & General as a Senior Sales Representative before joining our team here at Clarity.

Clarity has a network of battery packing hubs throughout the UK where batteries are palletised and exported to European smelters for recycling. Once the batteries are reprocessed, the lead is recovered and used in the manufacture of new automotive batteries. It was this recycling aspect of Clarity’s business that attracted Ian to the role at Clarity.

Ian said: “With increasing pressure on our environment, it’s clear that we can’t continue creating waste that goes to landfill. I am passionate about the environment so I am really pleased to join an ethical company like Clarity that is involved in recycling materials.

“I am looking forward to using the expertise I have gained over many years in sales to build excellent working relationships with both our existing and new contacts and to help grow this division even more.”

Clarity buys scrap lead-acid batteries, offering excellent market rates, prompt and reliable collections and visibility every step of the way. If you would like to talk to Clarity about trading lead-acid batteries or have catalytic converters to sell, contact Ian and the rest of the team on 0845 129 7177.
