Alistair joined Clarity in April 2025 to lead our metals trading activity. He is responsible for purchasing metals from a wide range of sources and managing their onward sale for recycling, strengthening Clarity’s direct relationships within the recycling and recovery sector.

With over 12 years of experience in the waste industry – including four years specialising in metal trading – Alistair brings a wealth of knowledge around recycling routes, market dynamics, and recovery opportunities for a broad range of materials. His expertise and strong industry network enable efficient material movements with a clear focus on maximising recycling outcomes.

Alistair’s practical approach and commercial insight help drive Clarity’s growing presence in material trading and evidence generation. By working directly with reprocessors, including those within our own member base, he supports enhanced traceability and delivers greater value to our clients through improved environmental performance.
