Elaine Murphy

Elaine is Clarity’s Battery Trading Manager, specialising in the procurement, trading and recycling of scrap lead acid batteries across the UK and international markets. With extensive sector experience, she works closely with scrap metal merchants, vehicle dismantlers, garages, fleet operators and other battery producers to deliver compliant, efficient and commercially competitive recycling solutions.

Since joining Clarity in 2018, Elaine has played a key role in developing and expanding the company’s battery division. Her knowledge spans collection and logistics, international commodity markets, regulatory requirements and customer relationship management, helping clients maximise value from their material while ensuring it is managed through approved recovery routes.

Elaine holds a Bachelor of Business Degree from Cork Institute of Technology and is recognised for her deep understanding of the battery recycling market and wider producer responsibility landscape. Combining commercial insight with practical industry knowledge, she supports businesses in navigating complex recycling and compliance requirements while achieving the best possible outcomes for their organisations.
