Martin Trigg-Knight

Martin Trigg-Knight is Clarity’s Chief Commercial Officer and a key driving force behind the company’s commercial direction, growth and continued development. He joined Clarity in 2014 following a successful career in academia and charitable fundraising.

During his time with Clarity, Martin has held several senior commercial and leadership positions, building extensive expertise across environmental compliance, producer responsibility and the UK PRN market. His early work focused on developing Clarity’s WEEE and packaging compliance services for major brands before he moved into wholesale PRN trading. This breadth of experience has enabled him to establish influential relationships with producers, compliance schemes, recyclers and other strategic partners across the sector.

Martin remains closely involved in shaping the regulatory and policy landscape. He chairs and contributes to influential industry forums and advisory groups, working directly with government departments, regulators and senior stakeholders to inform policy development and represent the interests of businesses affected by packaging regulation. His detailed understanding of policy, markets and commercial realities makes him a respected and authoritative voice across the environmental compliance sector.

As Chief Commercial Officer, Martin leads Clarity’s commercial strategy and plays a central role in identifying new opportunities, developing the company’s services and strengthening its market position. He works across the business to translate regulatory change and emerging client needs into practical commercial solutions, ensuring Clarity continues to anticipate market developments and deliver meaningful value for its clients and partners.
