Your Guide to Completing the Recyclability Assessment with RAM Assess

RAM Assess is our purpose-built online platform designed to help you meet the requirements of the Recyclability Assessment Methodology (RAM), a core obligation under Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), effective from 1 January 2025.

Whether you’re managing thousands of SKUs or just a few key lines, RAM Assess streamlines complex assessments by generating component-level RAG (Red, Amber, Green) scores at scale, highlighting data gaps before they default to “Red,” and forecasting cost impacts.

Take Control of your Recyclability Assessment

Navigating the new Recyclability Assessment Methodology (RAM) doesn’t need to be complex. RAM Assess is designed to take the pressure off internal teams by simplifying component-level packaging assessments, helping you make smarter decisions faster and stay ahead of your EPR obligations.

  • Forecast your modulated management fees

  • Quick, easy, automated assessments across thousands of SKUs

  • Track RAM-related costs to drive smarter packaging decisions

Ready to Submit your H2 2025 Data?

If you’re preparing to complete your H2 2025 packaging data submission, including recyclability assessments under the Recyclability Assessment Methodology (RAM), follow the step-by-step guidance below. It will take you through uploading your packaging data, generating RAM RAG ratings and submitting your data via the Clarity dashboard.

RAM Assess is the recommended approach for completing your RAM reporting. It provides automated RAG outcomes aligned to RAM requirements, built-in validation checks and a clear audit trail, helping to reduce risk and save time during the submission process. Using RAM Assess also allows you to start reviewing and evaluating your recyclability data ahead of your submission deadline, rather than leaving assessments to the final stages.

If you prefer to complete RAM assessments manually, we can provide material-specific decision trees to help sense-check Red, Amber and Green ratings for individual packaging components. These tools rely on manual interpretation and do not account for interactions between components, evidence tracking or consistency checks across submissions. As a result, additional internal review may be required to ensure your assessments are complete and audit-ready.
